Sports Support Programme

One-to-one support across training, development and participation in sport.

Planning

Session travel estimate

A quick, indicative figure for fuel between pick-up and session, useful when you are budgeting ahead. It is not a quote; roads and costs vary day to day.

Route
Full UK postcode (e.g. SW1A 1AA). This tool only works for UK addresses.

Where the young person is usually collected from. UK postcode, type with or without a space; we tidy it when you leave the box.

Use the postcode for the place sessions normally happen, not your office unless that is the session venue.

Venue or usual meeting point. UK postcode, same spacing note as pick-up.

Your route on the map

The map appears after you enter both postcodes and tap Work out distance.

Map preview

Add your pick-up and session postcodes above, then tap Work out distance, we will show the journey here so you can see it, not just read numbers.

Programme schedule

How many visits you expect in a typical week.

School year is often around 39 weeks, change this to match your plan.

Total weeks you are planning for.

Already know the one-way distance?
Single direction only. “Include return travel each session” still doubles this if switched on.

Only if you already know the miles (e.g. from a sat-nav). When this has a number, we pause postcodes and the map for distance.

How this estimate is calculated

We look up UK postcodes, then use a public road-distance service where available, with a straight-line fallback if routing is unavailable.

Programme overview

About Sports Support Programme

Sports Support Programme from CAMS services provides one-to-one support across training, development and participation in sport. One-to-one support across training, development and participation in sport, with mentoring woven through sessions so confidence and consistency build together. Provision is one-to-one, safeguarding-led, and tailored to each young person rather than delivered as a generic group programme.

Sessions are planned with referrers and families, risk-assessed for location and timing, and delivered by DBS-checked CAMS services practitioners. We document factual progress where commissioned and escalate safeguarding concerns through agreed routes.

What this programme includes

The Sports Support Programme programme typically includes:

  • Training and competition readiness
  • Development planning with the young person
  • Participation and engagement in sport settings
  • Mentoring alongside physical progression

Commissioning with CAMS services

Commissioning begins with a referral or consultation. CAMS services confirms capacity, agrees hours, and aligns the plan with EHCP, PEP, or social-care requirements where relevant. Packages can combine this programme with transport, mentoring, or family support for joined-up weeks.
